Bio

Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, and now based in Aiken, South Carolina, songsmith Dave Mauk creates music that combines Americana elements with British Invasion melodies. After contributing to The Knobs' critically acclaimed album Break Up & Die, Mauk returned from a creative break to start Sympathetic Ears, a collaborative effort that resulted in two well-received albums and several singles of his songs.

His work continues with Jude & The Lost Cause, a new collaboration with budding raconteur Mark Toner. Their first single, "On My Way," features guitar work by Brad Newsom and highlights Mauk's approach.

Mauk emphasizes thoughtful lyrics paired with catchy hooks, suitable for both full studio productions and simple acoustic versions. Future releases will vary between his solo work as Dave Mauk, Sympathetic Ears, and Jude & The Lost Cause, based on the song's style and contributors.

On stage, Mauk performs mainly as a solo acoustic artist, focusing on the songs themselves. His music appeals to a wide audience, with plans for further growth in 2026 and later.
